“My mom has been at Jacob’s Creek Nursing & Rehab for 20 months now. She is on the 500 Hall in the dementia unit. I couldn’t be happier that she is there. Although an issue arises now and again, because obviously, no place is perfect, I am very pleased with the way they take care of my mom, and the other residents who are cognitively impaired. At another facility, my mom was having a UTI every 3 months. When I see her now, she is always clean, she looks good, and seems to be happy. The staff really know how to handle the sweet people, and really care about what is happening. I don’t have to stress about her being there. The administrator is also very helpful, as she always bent over backwards to help me with whatever I needed.”

Safety Remains a Top Priority
We have taken a multifaceted approach in the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and other viruses. Prevention measures include routine electrostatic cleaning, needlepoint bipolar ionization (cold plasma), HEPA air scrubbers, and MERV 13 air filter installation. Cold plasma is known to kill multiple bacteria, viruses and mold spores and based on recent and ongoing studies; it has demonstrated significant reduction of COVID-19 virus when installed.
We Partner with Industry Experts
Early in the pandemic, we developed and implemented industry-leading protocols to ensure best opportunity for disease prevention. Our collaborations include partnering with university and community-based epidemiology clinical experts, the North Carolina Statewide Program for Infection Control and Epidemiology (SPICE), while also following state and CDC guidance.
Some of Our Additional Safety Measures Include:
Screening anyone who enters the facility – including our teammates prior to starting their shifts – at the door, including temperature checks
Patients and residents are screened at least every shift
Teammates and guests are wearing masks throughout their shifts/visits
