Katie Wilson is a dedicated professional with a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others. She earned her MBA from Northwood University in Troy, MI in 2016 and completed her undergraduate studies at Anderson University, where she obtained a BA in Graphic Design with a minor in Fine Arts in 2005. Katie’s journey as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) in North Carolina and South Carolina began in 2016. She has been committed to continuous improvement, evident by her Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification in 2022 and her Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) certification in 2023. Outside of her professional commitments, Katie is an active volunteer for Make-A-Wish of South Carolina since 2010, demonstrating her dedication to community and philanthropy. Katie’s career trajectory has been a journey of purpose and fulfillment. She initially worked in the retail and automotive industries for 11 years, but it was her pursuit of an MBA that set her on a path to a more meaningful career. Her role as the administrator allows her to directly impact the lives of her staff, patients, their families, and the community she serves.

Brandy Richardson

Brandy is an accomplished healthcare professional with a diverse background in nursing. Her journey began as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Jacob’s Creek Nursing & Rehab, learning clinical operations from the ground up. After graduating with an Associate degree in nursing from Rockingham Community College, Brandy dedicated 17 years to Moses Cone Memorial Hospital as a Cardiac Nurse with a specialization in Neurology. Taking a short break to care for her twin daughters, Brandy later returned to Jacob’s Creek Nursing & Rehab, where it all started. She quickly advanced through the ranks, ultimately becoming Director of Nursing. Leading a team of caring professionals, she guides them in delivering exceptional care to residents. Brandy continued her education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winston Salem State University and obtaining certification as a Dementia Practitioner. What keeps Brandy returning to Jacob’s Creek is the family-like environment and her deep connections with residents and staff. She believes that healthcare is about making each day better than the last and enriching the lives of those she serves.

Melissa Denton, holding a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and an MBA in Healthcare Administration, serves as the Director of Admissions at Jacob’s Creek Nursing & Rehab. Melissa’s journey in the skilled nursing industry began at the young age of 17, where she started as a Certified Nursing Assistant while continuing her education. With extensive experience in hospital settings, including the ER, Melissa transitioned into various roles within skilled nursing facilities. In 2020, she found her professional home at Jacob’s Creek, where her passion for caring for residents, supporting their families, and collaborating with staff blossomed. Melissa provides a seamless and exceptional experience for new residents and their families, ensuring their comfort and well-being. She aspires to continue her journey in the field, with a deep commitment to the geriatric population.
